For a special occasion Omakase Por Favor is a fantastic option. The waiting area is small/non-existent and the host was kind enough to come out to our car to let us know that our seats were ready. The entire staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided friendly service. I loved that we were seated so close to the chefs. The ambiance is intimate and the perfect place for a date. All of the food was delicious and the flavors are unlike anything I have eaten before. I did not enjoy eating the caesar salad and I would have liked to have a more uncommon/complex salad on the omakase menu. I was also not a fan of the Miso Glazed Butternut Squash as well. This dish is entirely vegetarian and I would have appreciated the dish more if there was some sort of meat. However, these two dishes did not ruin our experience. I thought it was a great touch that you receive a text the following day displaying all of the different courses that were served during your time there. I will definitely be back!

Enjoyed an exceptional lunch at Omakase Por Favor in Lincoln. Oysters on the Half Shell, BBQ Albacore with an AMAZING sauce, Classico Shrimp Tostada, Ceviche Mixto Bowl, Miso Broiled Scallop appetizer and, of course, S'Mores we roasted at our table with homemade green marshmallows and Guinness-infused Chocolate Cake in honor of St. Paddy's Day! The Ohaguro rice lager from Onibi Beer Company in West Sacramento was wonderful. We were served delightfully, professionally and flawlessly by Taylor and Logan. Omakase's locally sourced menu and oyster offerings change often. It's not just a remarkable restaurant...it's a gastronomic experience on steroids! https://www.omakaseporfavor.com/lincoln

Had reservations there Monday night with my husband. We did the omakase and a wine pairing. I have to say we only got to enjoy half our meal because I had a family emergency. What we got to experience was as absolutely wonderful and delicious. When the emergency came up the staff was amazing and got us checked out of there ASAP so we could get home. Can't wait to come back for the full experience!

As usual, the experience at Omakase Por Favor is exceptional! This was my first time at the midtown location, and I'm happy to report that the OPF crew replicated their signature vibe, outstanding service, and scrumptious food. I tried several plates, but the standout was the chipotle chicken chowder (the name was misleading...it wasn't a traditional 'chowder' but it defies classification)-- it had amazing flavor and depth! I also recommend their pink flamingo cocktail, which features sake and is fruity and tangy and smooth and is the perfect complement to the soup. Hats off to Omakase Por Favor for their contribution to the vibrant midtown food scene with their latest culinary gem!

First time eating at omakase pot favor. I went for lunch with my husband and the interior is very intimate with a bar in the middle. You can see the chef prepare some dishes in front and the ambiance is definitely modern classy. We chose to get items off the lunch menu. I tried the pozole soup which was nice and spicy but definitely not your typical pozole soup. It has pozole elements but the soup was a lot thicker than normal. My husband got the soba noodles which were light and refreshing and miso oysters which were good. Overall, the menu is definitely a fusion of Mexican and Japanese food. You have to go with a mindset knowing that it is fusion modern cuisine. The oysters were very fresh and they have many different types. I haven't tried their omakase menu yet but I heard it is delicious and offers alot of different courses where the chef makes up the entire meal. Omakase literally means "leave it up to the chef" and seen in japanese sushi restaurants

I loved this place! It has a great farm-to-fork vibe and locally sourced ingredients. It is a place you'd go to for a special occasion, as the average price is about $75 per person. However, it was definitely worth it. My husband isn't really as much of a foodie so he has a slightly different perspective, but I definitely enjoyed it. You're not here for large portion sizes, but to sample a variety of flavors.

Let me start by saying that the food here is a literal work of art. I don't even know where to begin. The staff are all incredibly kind and friendly. The restaurant itself is pretty small but that's part of what makes it unique. The kitchen is in the middle of the bar so you can watch your food being prepared. Not that you'll have time for that because if you order the Omakase tasting menu experience (which you must do at least your first time, no exceptions) you'll be too mind-blown to pay much attention to anything but the food. We added the 7th course to the 6 course Omakase and what an experience it was. Literally every dish was incredible. I've never been so thoroughly impressed at a high end restaurant. This is one of those experiences where you feel that every penny spent was well worth it. I'll try to remember everything so I can explain each course but it will be a basic explanation as everything was so unique. They make their own sparkling water which was bubbly and delicious. Highly recommend. We started with the Omakase Set oysters which were the best oysters I've ever had. They had this amazing umami sauce and were topped with a small piece of unagi. We also ordered the ceviche mixto bowl which was a spicy ceviche made with fresh mahi mahi that came in that morning. Incredible dish. Best ceviche I've ever had. The first course was some sort of swordfish sandwich topped with caviar. It was delicious. The second course was a crab larb lettuce wrap style dish. It was incredible. It had pickled fresno chilis on top which were also delicious. The third course was some sort of scallop with puréed something that I can't remember (parsnip maybe??) but it also had a black garlic sauce dropped on top that was good. The scallops were cooked perfectly and warm and melted in your mouth. The fourth course is where my mind really started getting blown. They brought out a small plate of fennel and octopus salad topped with toasted hazelnuts. I was sure it would be my least favorite dish and I was so wrong. It was incredible! The octopus was prepared absolutely to perfection. It was so tender I couldn't even tell it was octopus. The flavors of the dish were immaculate. They were lucky I didn't lick the plate. The fifth course was a compilation of completely random (seemingly random but you gotta.... Trust the chef ;) because nothing was random about it) flavors. If I had to simplify it, it was a sashimi pizza on a tostada. But it was so much more than that. The fresh basil contrasted perfectly with the caramelized soy sauce and the pomegranate seeds and the fish was so fresh. This was one of our favorites but it's hard to pick just one. By the sixth course I was getting sad because I knew it was coming to an end soon. My sadness didn't last long because this course was so incredible. It was a deconstructed salmon hand roll of sorts. With a perfectly umami flavored sauce that I almost took like a shot after I was done. But I restrained myself. It tasted similar to when you get that perfect mix of soy sauce and wasabi. The seventh course was so good. It was an albondigas dish made with tuna instead of meat but it tasted like meat. It was so rich. The thin slices of Serrano chilis on top were the perfect addition to the umami flavored broth. The entire experience blew me away. My expectations were exceeded from start to finish and I cannot recommend this place enough. We plan to go on a regular basis. They told us they change their menu often as everything is seasonal and fresh, sometimes multiple times a week. I was so impressed I made a reservation to check out the midtown location next weekend with a friend. But I'll be back to this location without a doubt. Thank you Omakase for an amazing experience and such attention to detail and excellence. This restaurant is Michelin star-worthy in my book.

Nothing to improve upon here. We celebrated my wife's birthday and felt like they were friends right away. The chef was so fun to watch, the entire staff was very attentive, and our server was phenomenal! She was so funny, kind, and intuitive. The service was perfectly timed and on pace with us, not the other way around. The restaurant is simple, and well suited for tee-shirts or dressing up. The bar sits something like 18 people and felt right sized for the space. There are a ton of drink options - ask about the juniper mock tail! The food...just look at the photos. Also, Monday is $2 oysters and they were perfect: small, cold, and fresh from Puget Sound. We'll be back as soon as we can afford it!

Second time here. First time was for my husband's birthday. We tried the dinner omakase. It was delicious. He had it with the sake pairing. The waiter was well informed with all the dishes. Our favorite dish was the nigiri with crab. We had to circle back and ordered a couple more pieces. The ambiance was simple but nice. We both felt comfortable and the staff as very attentive. The second time was during lunch on a Saturday. We sat outside. The food was delicious. We ordered the raw bar, the soba, tostada, shrimp cocktail and the broiled oysters I don't usually like broiled oysters or any oysters unless raw but these were amazing. It was perfectly cooked. The top was toasted but the bottom was still uncooked making it not chewy.

I know the year isn't over, but I can easily say I had the best meal this year at Omakase Por Favor! The service, ambiance, and food were all so perfect it'll be hard to top it. We were greeted and seated at the chic bar. We were celebrating our anniversary and there was a sweet note from Chef Jeana and crew. Our server, Andrew, welcomed us and explained the menu. We asked about the omakase and heard the specials that came with it and obviously had to choose it. What happened next was like a dream. I honestly started taking notes because there was so much happening and I wanted to remember this meal. The nights omakase included: - smoked sturgeon, cream cheese teacake topped with caviar - watermelon ponzu hamachi carpaccio - scallops imported from Hokkaido in a coconut agua chile topped with caviar - roasted sweet corn yellow fin tuna tartare, with shiitake and avacado mousse - salmon ceviche tostada with macerated lemons, micro basil, and chili oil - barbecue albacore with a gochujang sauce, Napa cabbage sesame slaw - frijoles charros with octopus Every bite was perfection!! The flavors all complemented each other and we loved that each course was a not only a different ingredient, but different preparation. We felt the showstoppers were the scallop, albacore, octopus, and sturgeon teacake. I could try to describe each course but the menu will likely change and it's better to be surprised with what you'll experience. At the end of the omakase, we knew we had to try the oyster omakase set and oyster shooters. After that we got the pumpkin spice s'mores to end our meal. We loved everything about our dining experience. We love how the menu constantly changes, so it's unlikely you'll have the same meal twice. We love how the menu focuses on quality and sustainability. We loved how the staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. And we love how it felt like they genuinely enjoyed working there. Andrew's enthusiasm about the menu made the meal even more enjoyable. Omakase Por Favor is a gem and it's exciting to hear about Chef Jeana's future plans. No doubt they'll leave their mark and become one of the greats in the Sacramento area.
